Fostering self-regulated learning in higher education

In the series ‘ICO web-lectures on Research into Higher Education’ prof. Jos Beishuizen (VU Amsterdam) provides a systematic overview of research on self-regulated learning in higher education. He presents a process model of self-regulated learning, which offers a useful framework to structure the most important concepts from research on self-regulated learning in higher education. Ten overall statements and an illustrative example are presented to enrich the theory on self-regulated learning into the practice of teaching in higher education.
